About the Author 

sindell.jpg (5322 bytes) Dr. Kathleen Sindell is an expert on electronic commerce, is a popular speaker,  and an adjunct faculty member at the Johns Hopkins University MBA program. She is the author of numerous popular, academic, and professional books, articles and Web sites.
Publications

Dr. Sindell is the author of The Handbook of Real Estate Lending (520 pages, McGraw-Hill Profession, June 1996) and the editor of the Essentials of Financial Management Kit (Dryden Press, October 1993).

Additionally, she is the author of A Hands-On Guide to Mortgage Banking Internet Sites (August 2000, August 1999, August 1998 and July 1997). The Online Guide is a separate publication of Mortgage Banking magazine.

Background

Dr. Sindell is the former Associate Director of the Financial Management and Commercial Real Estate Programs for the University of Maryland, University College Graduate School of Management & Technology. 

The Lending Solutions Decision Support Program was developed by Dr. Sindell to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate the credit quality of real estate loans. It is based on her hands-on experience as a Real Estate Vice President for American Savings & Loan and as the Construction Lending Services Manager for Perpetual Federal Savings Bank.

She received her BA in Business from Antioch University, an MBA with a concentration in finance from the California State University at San Jose, and a Ph.D. in Administration and Management from Walden University, Institute for Advanced Studies.
